Our avant-garde approach to photography is the driving force behind the creativity and emotion that you will find in our photos. Photography is an art form that has, for such a long time, been stuck in the ruts of tradition. We had always dreamed of one day using our photography skills to create amazing photos that would change peoples lives. When we finally decided to take the leap into full time photography, we knew that we were going to do things differently. We felt that God had given us a fresh vision for our photography, and that this would be our life's purpose. So, what is our style? The style of our photography is found in the melting pot of all the things that we love in life. It's vintage inspired with a modern twist. It's unconventional and adventurous. It's retro but it's relevant. It's light hearted and fun but it's authentic and full of life. This is all reflected in the way we photograph and interact with our clients. Also, we love natural light, we shoot 90% of our sessions outdoors using the light that God has so graciously loaned to us. We love the way that the late afternoon sun cascades across an open wheat field. We love finding a giant tree to use in the background of our photos. An old alley in a small town that no one ever notices can be spectacular when photographed from our creative perspective. If we had to choose between the pristinely manicured lawns of the governors mansion or an old dilapidated building with a rusty metal door, we'd go for the old building 100% of the time. There is something about the contrast of soft skin against the harshness of a weathered door that makes for an amazing photograph. Our photos are fresh and artistic, inspired by real people, real life, and real emotions. Our shoots are focused on catching the beauty and love that is spilling out of the human heart. The result is photography that is moving and inspiring. Our heart, is to catch the raw emotion of every person we photograph.
